Hi, my name is Allie Remington. I started dancing ballet when I was 3 in Las Vegas, with a teacher who had come from Juilliard. I moved to Utah and continued dancing with Wasatch dance center, where I discovered contemporary dance. When I moved to Hawaii in my early teens, I started dancing with the Doneva Ballet School. Here I began my study of the Vaganova technique. At 16 I began apprenticing under Youlia Doneva, a world renowned Prima ballerina from Bulgaria. I'm grateful to have learned ballet pedagogy techniques unique to the Russian style. At 17 I opened my own ballet studio in Waikoloa and loved teaching students of all ages. My most notable roles have been the principal role of the Fairy Doll, Paquita and the Neapolitan dance from Swan Lake. I'm excited to teach again after taking a year sabbatical to study with Ballet West in Utah and to have my son Leo. And, I'm looking forward to joining the Yoga Barre community.
